Perches!

Perches!! These are important things for your parrots. As they are on their feet all the time. For them to have healthy feet you should proved multiple perches of different textures, materials, shapes and diameters. Some good placement ideas for your perches are by the food and water, by a toy, up high in the cage. Perches should be placed so the bird has a comfortable amount of room around it and the tail feathers don't rub on the sides of the cage. Female parrots can lay eggs even without a mate in captivity. If they do lay eggs make sure they are supplied with extra calcium to help with the calcium they have lost. Some examples of thing you can provide are a cuddle bone, dark leafy greens, or calcium powder.

Foraging its only natural

Did you know foraging is a natural behavior for wild parrots. So it is only right that we let our pet parrots exhibit that natural behavior. An easy way to do this is to provide foraging toys. You can also do this by providing foraging baskets (a basket filled with toys, treats attached to the side of the cage/stand or at the bottom) or simply hide some of your birds favorite treats and let them find them.
